Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that integrates the unique presence and responsiveness of horses into the healing process. Guided by a licensed mental health professional and an equine specialist, clients engage in ground-based activities with horses to explore emotions, build trust, and develop coping strategies.
Horses, as sensitive and nonjudgmental partners, help mirror human feelings and behaviors, creating opportunities for insight, emotional regulation, and personal growth. This experiential method supports individuals in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges in a safe, nature-centered environment.
The Homestead
This story begins in 1873, when this house was constructed—a brick house near the Indiana Wabash River that became much more than walls and a roof.
For ten generations, our home has fostered laughter, tears, and countless family gatherings. It’s where traditions were born, roots grew deep, and meals were shared.
Today, our home is still the heart of everything we do. It’s not just a building—it’s an ancestral haven, a place where history meets healing. Every service we offer flows from the spirit of this hospitable homestead: connection, compassion, and the belief that hope can always find a home.
